Requirements
18 years of age
High School Diploma or GED (provision of G.E.D. certificate/score sheet) or 1,500 hours documented hours in the trade
Military applicants must bring a copy of DD214
Birth Certificate

Valid Driver’s License/Photo ID
Pass drug test
Terms of Apprenticeship Training
Apprenticeship shall be four (4) years
Minimum of 650 hours of on-the-job training per half year (1,300 hours per year)
Minimum of 160 hours of classroom instruction per year
Testing: Math test during the first week of classes, must pass to move on in program
Operates under the “Intent To Hire” Program
Raises every six months if training hours are secured
Earn from 40 to 95 percent of the journey-level wage during the apprenticeship program
Gain union benefits after 90 days in the program

Affiliated Colleges
Apprentices of Carpenters Locals 373 and 435 can receive course credit towards an associate degree in a program offered by Cuyahoga Community College and Owens Community College.
