CBCTC President Joyce Honored By Irish American Archives Society

Walk-of-Life-webThe Irish American Archives Society (IAAS) bestowed one of their highest honors to Cleveland Building and Construction Trades Council President Terence P. Joyce on February 25.President Joyce, who is also the Business Manager of Laborers Local 310, was honored for his contributions to the local Irish community when he received the Annual Walk of Life Award from the IAAS.Founded in 1994 to support the collection and preservation of archival materials that document the history of the Irish-American experience in Northeast Ohio, the IAAS annually presents the Walk of Life Award to individuals of Irish descent who have made an extraordinary contribution to their community in their chosen “walk of life.”“I haven’t walked long enough in life to get an award like this,” said Joyce, who added he felt extremely humbled upon learning he would receive the award.President Joyce and his building trades brothers and sisters have been involved in a multitude of projects that give back to the local community, including the Police Memorial, the Elyria Township 9-11 Memorial, a Purple Heart Home in South Euclid, and the Johnny Kilbane: Fighting Heart statute, located in Cleveland’s Battery Park.We congratulate Terence Joyce on receiving this prestigious award and also thank him for the countless hours he has given back to our community.
